A scenographic installation of various objects, video and sound works will be on view in the entrance hall of<i> <\/i>the Centre of Performing Arts<i>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">O\u013ca Vasi\u013cjeva<\/span> (1981)<b> <\/b>is a Latvian-born artist living and working in Amsterdam, Netherlands where she was nominated for the <i>Prix de Rome<\/i>.\u00a0\u00a0Vasi\u013cjeva works with video, sculpture, music and texts. In her works there are references to crafting, music, subcultures and literature. Recent solo exhibitions include <i>Jargot<\/i>, New York, USA (2014) and <i>Prix de Rome<\/i>, <i>de Appel<\/i>, Amsterdam, Netherlands (2013); <i>Cinq \u00e0 sept<\/i>, Kim? Contemporary Art Centre, Riga, Latvia (2013); OAOA <i>Vestibule<\/i>, <i>Galerie van Gelder<\/i>, Netherlands (2012), among others. Her work has been included in numerous group exhibitions, including <i>What Were You Expecting, Mr. Milquetoast, a Plot?<\/i>, <i>Badischer Kunstverein<\/i>, Karlsruhe, Germany (2014); <i>Fusiform Gyrus<\/i>, <i>Lisson Gallery<\/i>, London, United Kingdom (2013); <i>Material Information<\/i>, Bergen Kunstmuseum, Bergen, Norway (2012), among others. Vasiljeva is a founder and member of <i>The Oceans Academy of Arts<\/i> artist collective and the publisher of <i>OAOA Magazine<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Kaspars Gro\u0161evs<\/span> (1983) works with drawings, sound, texts, and objects. Gro\u0161evs has graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia, Department of Visual Communication. Solo exhibitions: <i>00:10:00:00<\/i> at Kim? Contemporary Art Centre, Riga, Latvia (2013), <i>I\/O. Without Enemies <\/i>at Kim? Contemporary art centre, Riga, Latvia (2011), <i>H <\/i>at <i>Kan\u0327epes culture centre, <\/i>Riga, Latvia (2012). Group exhibitions: <i>Vortex<\/i> at <i>Project Space Garage, <\/i>Moscow, Russia (2014). In February 2013 he collaborated with Vivienne Griffin in performance for Cian McConn&#8217;s solo project <i>Open Close Thing <\/i>at <i>Tintype<\/i> gallery, London, UK. Gros\u030cevs is contributing editor at <i>Studija <\/i>magazine, occasionally performs in experimental music concerts and rather infrequently hosts a show on Radio Naba.
