For the sake of safety and visibility of the process the viewer is advised to engage in contemplation in close conjunction with an experienced supervisor.<br \/>\nAnd artworks can, of course, be touched only in the presence of a mentor.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">passage from the text by Edgars Jurj\u0101ns Study Tool for Perception and Perceptual Impact of Art Products Made of Veneer, Porcelain and Other Materials<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Maija Kur\u0161eva<\/span> has studied at the Art Academy of Latvia, Department of Visual Communication and at the Berlin University of the Arts. She currently lectures courses on illustration and screen printing at the Art Academy of Latvia, Department of Visual Communication and Graphics. Since 2004 Maija Kur\u0161eva has actively taken part in exhibitions in Latvia and abroad. She has participated in the creation of a publication of illustrations and drawings titled Popper Magazine, and in 2010 she was nominated for the Purv\u012btis award with her exhibition Tr\u012bsk\u0101jainais gad\u012bjums (Three-legged Case). Among her recent projects there is the exhibition Ne\u013cau\u0161an\u0101s (Unceasing) at the Kim? Contemporary Art Centre (2013) and participation in the exhibition Vasaras las\u012bjumi (Summer Readings) at the C\u0113sis Art Festival (2013) an d at the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC), Vilnius. An upcoming activity \u2013 participation in the Iaspis residency in Ume\u00e5, Sweden (October-November, 2013).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Edgars Jurj\u0101ns<\/span> \u2013 a photographer and a friend, author of the text.
