Alnis Stakle lecture “Photography is Dead, Long Live Photography!”

On Thursday, 8 April at 19:00 everyone was invited to attend the second lecture in the series “Foto Kvartāls Readings”. The lecture “Photography is Dead, Long Live Photography!” was delivered by photographer Alnis Stakle. Stakle introduced to his perspective and approach to photography. The aim of the lecture was to sum up his experience, trying to draw psychological, social and aesthetic parallels with photography and art in Latvia and abroad.
Alnis Stakle, photographer, pedagogue and PhD student at the University of Daugavpils lives and works in Daugavpils. He has had solo shows both in Latvia and abroad. In 2009, publishing house “Neputns” published a book “Alnis Stakle” by Alise Tīfentāle.
